The Sponsor a Cot (SAC) program of Beautiful Gate Lesotho came out of a need to find regular funding for the care of babies and children in our care centre. We have a steady turnover of abandoned and neglected children coming through our doors due to our strong adoption program & HIV related deaths. This results in difficulties for sponsors to give to a particular child over an extended period.

Our Vision for Sponsor a Cot:

For each child in a cot to receive special individual prayers.
To give people the opportunity to be involved practically, financially, & spiritually to children in need.
To give personal faces to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
For each cot to have a sponsor family of 15 members. Together they cover the daily food, medical and care costs of a child in that cot.

How You Can Be Involved:

To become a partner in the Sponsor a Cot program we ask for a minimum monthly donation of 100 ZAR / 15 GBP / 20 USD / 15 EUR. Your donation will then be allocated to a particular cot (each cot will have 15 partners making up a “Family of Sponsors”. Your combined sponsorship will cover all the daily needs of the child occupying that cot. The child occupying the particular cot you are sponsoring will be introduced to you. If the life circumstances of the child in the cot change we will inform you. This will only happen if a child should gratefully go to a new family through our adoption program or sadly pass away due to AIDS related illness. We will then introduce you to another child.

What you can expect as a Sponsor a Cot partner

Every year you will receive three newsletters concerning the programs of Beautiful Gate Lesotho and once a year a card with a photo of the child/children who occupied the cot you sponsored, together with personal prayer requests.

The financial sponsorship covers the entire daily needs of children living in our care centre in Lesotho. They also cover the medical and funeral costs of the child (If Needed). We are convinced that the program will supply care for many needy African Children and we look forward to hearing from you.
